Federer and the Coronavirus
I preface this whole entry by saying I am not making light of this pandemic. I know people who have died from coronavirus and and I know people who aren’t sure how they are going to pay for food. But with anything, you have to try to find some positives in a mess to avoid getting completely depressed. What I want to talk about is Roger Federer and how the coronavirus has impacted his legacy. I saw an article a few weeks ago talking about how the coronavirus negatively impacts the Fed because he realiastically has only 1 to 2…

Confronting Excuses
Excuses can slow self-image growth and lead to frustration. Excuses are often the result of an unmotivated performer with uncertain goals. If we try we can all come up with an excuse or two for no reaching our goals – we don’t feel well, we have a headache, too tired, bad day coach was in a bad mood, broken heart, no money, no time and the list go on. When we look at what makes the top 5% successful one of the things that is at the top of the list is passion. Those who are truly passionate about their…

Boycott the Falcons
I’m weak so there is a 90% chance I won’t follow through with this but… We need to boycott the Falcons. Along with all the ridiculous moves of keeping inept coaches, we also decided to keep Dirk Koetter. He has many years of experience and has consistently shown to have very unimaginative boring ineffective offenses at every stop. What baffles me is how he keeps getting a job. In this case, with the talent to have a top 5 offense, it is downright assi nine that he kept his job. Run Pass Run/pass depending on yardage. The only question is…

UGA, Falcons Mixed Bag December 2019
Mixed emotions these past couple weeks with our teams: First off the falcons. I want to boycott them but I am extremely weak-willed. I argued with brother after we were 1-7 that we needed to fire Dan Quinn then in case something good happened to create false hope. I do not even think we did that great the second half of the season. The first Saints game was maybe the most complete game I have ever seen us play. We controlled both on defense and offense. I never have seen that with the falcons and likely will never see it…

Impeachment thoughts Nov 2019
I have found the impeachment hearings to be fascinating similar to the hanging chad election controversy between Bush and Gore many years ago. I cannot get enough. I have some thoughts and concerns: 1. I wish Fiona Hill would run for president. I would vote for her. She is well-spoken, intelligent, is able to convey many thoughts, is confident. Mostly, she appears honest and simply wants to do good. Unfortunately, usually, those who should be in charge do not want to be in charge. Usually only the attention getters want and get the high post. 2. It astonishes me how…

Thad Matta, UGA 2018
So Thad Matta is a douche. If he wasnt healthy enough, why did he interview. If he wasnt interested in the job, why interview. He wasnt my first choice until my brother convinced me otherwise. Then he became my first choice, then he rejected us. Now the one thing I know is that back problems never truly get fully resolved. My first choice was Rick Pitino. It was funny. I was texting my brother saying how he was my first choice and asked if that made me desperate and also asked him when he was going to congratulate me on…

O for 5 nfl and georgia mixes it up
Merry Christmas! I hope you all enjoy the holiday season and I thank you for your loyal following. First off in regards to the NFL. If the Falcons won, they were in the playoffs. They laid an egg. Since Im also a Lions fan, I was hoping the Falcons would win the division and one NFC south team and the Lions would take the wildcard. Obviously I also wanted the Panthers to lose. I also wanted the Seahawks to lose since they play the easy Cardinals next week. Falcons vs Saints. They laid an egg. They couldnt get in the…

The problems with Matt Ryan
The Falcons are chugging along with the same record as last year, a slightly improved defense that still leaks but with a struggling Matt Ryan. I don’t see the nickname “Matty Ice” as a fitting name. Here are the reasons why: 1. Lack of elusiveness. Despite Matt Ryan running a couple times in this last game against the Bucs, he rarely avoids a sack. You of course have some very elusive quarterbacks like Russell Wilson, Aaron Roddgers, and Cam Newton but even people like Tom Brady, who moves as fast as molasses, is better at avoiding sacks and stepping away…

Not the best, but a pretty darn good weekend
So the most important game of the weekend was the Dawgs vs the Tigers. After a terrifying first few minutes with Auburn walking into the endzone, Georgia took over and never looked back. Georgia has never received credit from the press at large all year and that showed even after the victory as they downplayed it based off the Auburn running backs injury. The committee, surprisingly also seemed to flip on Georgia by putting them at 3 instead of at 2 or even 1. Fortunately 2 or 3 is the same thing. In the back of mind as I went…
